Delicious!

Delicious
work inspired by food & drink
March 16th - April 10th, 2010
Opening reception:  Sunday, March 20th, 2-6 pm

Delicious, our annual show of work inspired by food and drink, is like a visual Thanksgiving:  it's literally a feast for the eyes.  This year's show is our seventh, and we're proud to exhibit work from over 90 local artists.  There's something for every appetite:  still lifes straight from the farmer's market, landscapes of vineyards and farms, scenes of local eateries and bars.  This year's show is equal parts comfort food--cupcakes, donuts, tv dinners and cocktails--and produce, reflecting the eternal battle of the food pyramid, and you can choose your side with impunity...we'll never tell.  A list of participating artists is below, and pictures are coming soon...

Mischief at Studio Gallery!!

Mischief
characters, critters and cartoons under $400
July 21 - August 15, 2010
Opening reception:  Sunday, July 25th, 2-6 pm

Summer's the perfect time for a little light-hearted levity, a little mischief.  This year's show features a wide range of fun-filled nuttiness, everything from toys gone bad to the Seven Deadly Sins (in glitter, of course).  What happens if the video game character of your youth visits the San Francisco of today, or characters from your favorite scifi series show up on a surf board, or as customized rubber ducks?!  A lovely group of animal portraits and paintings of vintage toys rounds out the show.  As usual, everything's under $400, with loads of items under $200.  A list of participating artists is below; click here to see some images from the show.

Evil Bunny Preview!

In June, Jinx, Sheri DeBow, Carissa Swenson and I are having an Evil Bunny show in LA at Land of Odd Gallery.

Jinx and I have been talking about doing it for a while and she ended up being the one who came through for us and found a venue. I am so excited and we have all been working like crazy on our bunnies. I'm seeing bunnies in my sleep!

After a much-needed 4-month break from painting and showing, it is nice to be working on a project again.

I do hope that all my lovely friends in the LA area will come see me at Land of Odd on June 12th.
I'll post more details when I get the Postcard.
